Muscle Testing: What Is It and How Do I Use It in My Practice?

Updated: Jul 30, 2019

Muscle testing is using the body's strength as a barometer of health. If a muscle tests weak, then it is an indicator of imbalance housed within the body. If a muscle tests strong, then there is no apparent issue for whatever is being tested. After addressing the root cause of a weak muscle test, practitioners retest the muscle strength in hopes of a stronger response. It may take several interventions for that desired result, but each retest provides more information on how to achieve it.

What can muscle testing tell the practitioner? It can uncover structural issues, like vertebral subluxations or nutritional deficiencies. It can also reveal emotional trauma or stress held within the body's tissues. In any case, it draws from the meridians of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and therefore informs us of any energy imbalances in the mind, body, or spirit. I use it to help us find the root causes of pain, especially chronic pain, as well as tight muscles.

If you'd like to experience it for yourself, send me an email or give me a call to schedule an emotional release session today!
